A surgical team at SRM Prime Hospital, including Dr. R. V. Sugi Subramaniam, successfully performed a complex laparoscopic-assisted splenectomy on a 23-year-old woman with a massively enlarged 2.8 kg spleen, non-cirrhotic portal fibrosis and hypersplenism. The patient was discharged five days after surgery.
Dr. Sugi Subramaniam led the surgical team at SRM Global Hospitals to successfully perform laparoscopic bilateral inguinal hernia repair in a 90-year-old woman with hypertension and coronary artery disease.
